After the death of Aunt Minnie Ann, the Fogdens are unable to find a gold locket and beads belonging to her; she has evidently hidden them. If only they could be found and sod, the farm could be re-stocked with pig and pullets. A clue points to Aunt Minnie Ann's rocking chair as the hding place, but unfortunately this chsir went to Aunt Hannad much to the annoyance of that lady, who preferred a wrtiting desk. The Fogdens make up their minds to placate Aunt Hannah, who most oppotunely arrives. She accepts the desk, but when asked for the rocking chair in exchange, tells them not without malice that she has sold the chair, but only after disovering the hidden locket and beads.
